Schroth Method – Treatment of Scoliosis
The Schroth method was developed in Germany in the 1920’s by Katharina Schroth. The Schroth Method is a physiotherapeutic treatment system which uses isometric and other exercises to strengthen or lengthen asymmetrical muscles in a scoliotic body. Its goals are to halt progression of abnormal spinal curvature, and in the best case to reverse the curves.
Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS)
SEAS is an individualized exercise program adapted to all situations of conservative treatment of scoliosis: stand-alone in low-medium degree curves during growth to reduce the risk of bracing; complimentary to bracing in medium-high degree curves during growth, with the aim to increase correction, prepare weaning, and avoid/reduce side-effects; for adults either progressing or fused, to help stabilising the curve and reduce disability.
Non Surgical Spinal Decompression
Nonsurgical spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that can help relieve back pain, neck pain and numbness/tingling. Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine which changes the force and position of the spine. This will take pressure off the spinal discs, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine. Negative pressure from this therapy may cause retraction of the bulging or herniated discs. That can take pressure off the nerves and other structures in your spine. This in turn, helps promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the discs so they can heal.
Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
IASTM utilizes specially designed tools to break up scar tissue at the injury site. The effects of IASTM include pain relief, increased flexibility, enhanced recovery. It is very effective in treating conditions such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and muscle strains/tears.
Dynamic Taping
Dynamic Tape is a unique, strongly elastic tape which is used in the treatment of many sporting, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. The tape has 4 way stretch capability, breathable, water resistant, incredibly soft and is highly elastic. It allows for full movement but provides superior support and optimal movement while providing offloading the of muscle. The tape directly effects the tissue mechanics, movement patterns, pain physiology and circulation dependent on how the tape is applied and which effect is intended. The tape itself is not meant as a long term solution but rather an aid alongside rehabilitative exercises. So as time and treatment progresses the frequency of application and dependency would decrease.
Game Ready Compression and Adjustable Cold Therapy
Recover faster with proven cold and compression therapies of injury and post-operative recovery and care. Simultaneously applies active pneumatic compression and adjustable cold therapies to reduce swelling, minimize pain, and speed and enhance your body’s natural healing abilities.
Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (rESWT)
Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy is an FDA cleared technology proven to improve the rate of healing in soft tissue tendinopathy. It is a non-invasive and highly effective treatment method that works by increasing circulation to injured and damaged tissue and so helps speed up the healing process.
What conditions can be treated with rESWT
Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis elbow)
Medial Epicondylitis (Golfers Elbow)
Patella tendinitis
Achilles tendinitis
Plantar Fasciitis
Bicipital tendinits
Rotator cuff tendinits
Zimmer OptonPro High Energy Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is a safe and effective treatment to relieve pain and heal the body without invasive surgery or potentially harmful medications. Over 4,000 studies demonstrate the positive effects of laser therapy, and it is FDA approved to treat a range of conditions.
